The major attraction on the island is the "Grand Hotel". As you can see from the pictures it is a beautiful old hotel. It is very a "proper" hotel. In the evening hours the gentlemen must were jackets and ties and the ladies are not permitted to wear pants. Needless to say, at $400.00 a night we did not stay there. Instead, we enjoyed a buffet lunch and touring the grounds.

This is a view of the hotel from the ferry that you have to ride to get to the island.

The hotel has it's own buggy museum. The whole trip was a lot of fun. We would love to go back and stay at one of the many bed & breakfasts on the island.
